Schedule Highlights

An Intimate Night of Tropical Theatre presents...

Opening Film | WICAW

What if the greatest wealth was never the gold they took, but everything they couldn't?
What Is Common About the Wealth explores that very question.

UK Premiere | Fanm Diviné

Herbs become medicine, land becomes teacher, and Fanm Diviné (Women of Divinity) asks what happens when women’s inherited wisdom is mistaken for witchcraft.

Screening Premiere | Kay-la ka Koulé

Kay-la ka koulé (The House Is Leaking) asks what happens when our desire to possess meets the people, culture and freedoms that cannot be owned.

Feature Film | Roots of Resilience

From provision grounds to FarmHers markets, Roots of Resilience follows Helen’s Daughters in championing the Caribbean women who have sustained families, communities and generations through agriculture.

Creative Workshop

This workshop is an invitation to reflect and act. After the films, we'll explore inheritance, resilience and recreation together, and consider what each of us is carrying forward. Especially for those of us in the diaspora: how are we holding on to our roots, and how will we use what we've inherited to make an impact in our communities and the world?
WHO GO'N BE THERE?
